Thiamethoxam is a granular soluble insecticide of Neonicotinoid group. Thiamethoxam insecticide is a common active ingredient in a number of broad-spectrum insecticides for pest control. It is registered for use on numerous crops in many countries against sucking and chewing insects in vegetables, field crops, deciduous fruits, citrus, cotton and rice. Aside from being a general insecticide, Thiamethoxam can also be used as a foliar application, a soil treatment, and a seed treatment. Thiamethoxam is systemic, meaning it can be rapidly taken up by the plant, moving through from the leaves all the way down to the roots. It gives protection against insects for a longer period in comparison to other insecticides.
